Is Justice Blind?

They say that Justice is blind. What are your feelings about that? Does someone that deserve justice, not get it?

A lot of crimes are not reported either cause the police and community failed or a loved one is protecting someone from getting in more trouble.

Anyway, crime can be complex and many of us don't want all crimes to be punished or at least punished in what seems to be a harsh way.

To be honest, in most countries' justice is all in the hands of the government. If the government is corrupt, then of course justice would turn out to be blind.

Well, in the case of mental illness, the jails are now mental hospitals, at least in the US, so courts are quick to just lock up the mentally ill.

No, justice is definitely not blind. There is a lot of evidence that certain groups are more likely to get caught committing crimes, and then their punishments are more likely to be severe. We badly need reform to correct that imbalance.

Yeah, rather than helping, locking them up just makes them worse in my opinion.

Well yeah as long as the government doesn't go corrupt and support the rich like most Third World countries. It's like the rich helping the rich.
