Website Description:
Discussion Hub is a general discussion hub helping you get a little blast from the past. Enjoy coloured usernames, special userbars and a tight-knit community.
On a forum like this where you have a big header and empty space on one side, I would place a leaderboard advertisement right there since it looks better than having a single ad between the header and forum.
I like having them in between posts sometimes as well
Yeah, it does fit quite well for a discussion forum though so I don't mind it. Plus, I don't like switching names/domains so it's something I'll just have to suffer through for a long time
Discussion Hub :ROFLMAO:. There was a previous version of DH a very long time when I was younger which I ended up selling. That site didn't last long with the new owner who ended up merging it with another one of his forums.
Nothing major but would be nice to have a thread in the website showcase forum about the rules and guidelines for the section. Apparently, I still can't post a thread there.
I think it must have been around $20-30 for a .io renewal if I remember correctly. It might have been a little less but I think I remember complaining to someone about how high the price was
Used Trading212 a few minutes ago to check out the current prices of some stocks. Currently only have investments in Apple and Microsoft because I'm waiting for a few more to drop down
We used to have ads on my forum but we removed them. As someone that uses an ad blocker on sites, it's just not as effective anymore to have ads. I don't like sites that block users and tell them to disable ad blockers.
I like using pre-made premium themes because they are well made and just cheaper to buy. I then like to customise the themes so it looks special and it's slightly harder to tell what pre-made theme was used.
I have paid hosting with both USHost247 and InterServer and they both sort of free SSL certificates pretty easily. I don't have to do anything at all, it's all handled automatically which I love
I don't think there is anything wrong with it as long as you have some genuine users on your site as well. It's a really good method of getting content onto your site when it's brand new.
We use it because it fits in well with a general discussion forum. It allows us to give users the chance to customise their profiles and posts. It just makes posting a little more rewarding as well.
Pretty confident especially as XenForo makes it extremely easy to do. Simply upload the files and then activate them. Not sure if it's the same now but phpBB used to be awful with this.
